Sunday fell on me like a chunk from the sky Hundreds of weekends but I'm still surprised Dread in my head, and lead in my heart Can't catch my breath, feel like I'm falling apart Trapped by Monday, I won't fall asleep I won't lay me down, no soul to keep The night stretches out, the fog rolls in Curling around me, it says it's my friend But I know different, I've seen this before Monday says 'Hello', then swallows me whole Bled of my comfort, it spits out my bones Expects of me something, expects me to go Trapped by Monday, I won't fall asleep I won't lay me down, no soul to keep The night stretches out, the fog rolls in Curling around me, it's taking me in Feel myself weaken, succumb to the doom My only solace is here in this room Fear of leaving my comfort, my home Fear of waking into the unknown Trapped by Monday, I won't fall asleep I won't lay me down, no soul to keep The fog has burned off, the sun beating down Just me and these bones, Monday's on me now Just me and these bones, Monday's on me now Just me and these bones, Monday's on me now

I can't give you love You can't give love to me It's not something to buy or sell Does not grow upon a tree Those in Babylon, they want to know the price Of something money cannot buy But if you take your time and follow my advice You know I think it's worth a try I will not ask you things relating to your past As you will surely let them go The only stupid question is the one that is not asked And this is all I want to know But I can't take your love You can't take love from me It's a balance of give and take And we can make love for free I hope you don't mind that I'm sharing this in song I know it's not the only way It doesn't matter what is right or what is wrong Can you feel it when we play? And if there's something that is weighing on your mind All you have to do is call Doesn't matter what is yours or what is mine Cause in the end we share it all But I can't give you love You can't give love to me It's not something to buy or sell Does not grow upon a tree But I could share my love You could share love with me It's a balance of give and take And we can make love for free We can make love for free We can make love for free We can make love for free

Is Good 03:08
Is Okay, Is Good Birds lift their feet when they fly And justice is more than a punch in the eye The mystery men come into town To put the mad doctor down And for today They make their way in Iron City And for today They make it better Is Okay, Is Good FC hops his atomic pogo And takes it down to Monsters-A-Go-Go You'll see him at the laundromat Or pumping a tire that's gone flat And for today He's the man with no plan And for today Atomic pogo Monsters-A-Go-Go Is Okay, Is Good There's a bug in a box And someone's at home with chicken pox Bring you a Fudgsicle And all those bad girls ride their motorcycles Is Okay, Is Good

Lost Cat 04:01
Every day when I'd wake up You were there beside me In a world full of anxiety Ours was a perfect little family, I say How was I to know You were on the windowsill when it was cold? How was I to see You were headed up the stairs Without a thought for me? I'm so lost without you Shut you out in the cold Please give me one more chance, come on Come on back home Why would you think that I could be lost Alone and mourning? I'm just a cat, a-prowl, afoot And bound for glory I'm gonna do everything I can I'm gonna climb a fence and take my stand There's nothing that I won't do To come home to you I'm so lost without you Shut you out, shut you out Please give me one more chance, come on Come on back Never dreamed there'd come a day You would need to run away Clouded mind or insanity Did I really let you get away from me, lost cat? Now each day when I wake up You are far away from me I shut you out, I was too blind to see Ours was a perfect little family Lost cat, or just trying to be free?

The Triple B 02:26
Well Jonny was a tall man, six foot six And he sailed upon the sea When he came back from his travels afar He was down at the Triple B The Triple was a fine place with atmosphere Good beer, and solid fare The best part about it was a gal named Janie And that's why Jonny was there Janie was a tall girl, fair of skin Her golden hair fell like rain And Jonny would turn his ship home early Just to go see Janie again She'd bring him a pint every thirteen minutes Every third one Jonny would pay Wasn't long before all Jonny wanted Was to land Janie in the hay Jonny had a loving wife at home Who'd wait for him while he sailed Little did she know that a teenage girl Would land her Jonny in jail It was late one night in indian summer When Jonny walked Janie home He ended up staying a little too long Janie didn't wanna be alone Oh, no Jonny's wife caught him sneaking out Janie's back door And hit him with a rolling pin And now they got him locked up in the dungeon And he won't see Janie again Oh, cheat, cheat, they caught him off his feet With a girl less than half his age Now every third Sunday they wheel him about In an old fashioned wooden cage Now when Jonny gets out he's headin afar To disappear on the sea And he pities the next fool falling for Janie Down at the Triple, down at the Triple Down at the Triple B

Crazy Things 04:09
I can't explain it but lately I've been doing such crazy things I drink coffee late at night, I haven't paid my rent On my way to work, I ran every single light I had to, I was late, I overslept again I must have hit the snooze, cuz it was quarter to ten I can't explain it but lately I've been doing such crazy things I leave my doors unlocked, I been jogging after dark (She pays for almost every place she parks) I mix my metaphors, picked out a tattoo Oh I bite off way more than I can chew But the sanest thing I've done, the greatest thing I've done My favorite thing I've done is go crazy over you, crazy over you The sanest thing I've done, greatest thing I've done My favorite thing I've done is go crazy over you I'm crazy over you I can't explain it but lately I've been doing such crazy things I spend more than I earn, I walk when it says 'don't' Seems like I am always talking out of turn I don't always floss, I swim after I eat Sometimes I go to bed without turning down the heat I can't explain it but lately I've been doing such crazy things I'm on a fast food diet, add salt to every meal Drop a lot of hints so you'll ask me how I feel My Visa has a limit, that's what I've been told What a crying shame, I thought it was a goal But the sanest thing I've done, the greatest thing I've done My favorite thing I've done is go crazy over you, crazy over you The sanest thing I've done, greatest thing I've done My favorite thing I've done is go crazy over you I'm crazy over you I can't explain it but lately I've been doing such crazy things I run with scissors, wear white on heavy days What did you expect from this hormonal phase? I try to prove I'm right when I know I'm wrong Holy Nashville Batman, I just wrote a country song But the sanest thing I've done, the greatest thing I've done My favorite thing I've done is go crazy over you, crazy over you The sanest thing I've done, greatest thing I've done My favorite thing I've done is go crazy over you I'm crazy over you I can't explain it but lately I've been doing such crazy things

I have lived in my place for a couple of years And I still like it, but maybe I'm jaded You're out of town for a week or for ten days And I've got a new place to walk around naked The best of friends still have a secret or two they keep And while you're away I'll make my own secrets too In your house to sit for a few days Bring in the mail and water the plants Sitting the house I see things a new way No one's here, and I've learned to dance I might look around a bit, not to worry I'm curious but not rude It's a vacation of sorts for me as well And beautiful being nude The best of friends may not have seen each other undressed Forgive me if I turn the pictures, I'm a shy guest In your house to sit for a few days Bring in the mail and water the plants Sitting the house I see things a new way No one's here, and I've learned to dance If these walls could talk I'd swear them to silence Six more days and it's the end for me I've got no plans for crimes or for violence Just love and more than anything, that should be free The best of friends still have a secret or two they keep And while you're away I'll make my own secrets too The best of friends may not have seen each other undressed Forgive me if I turn the pictures, I'm a shy guest In your house to sit for a few days Bring in the mail and water the plants Sitting the house I see things a new way No one's here, and I've learned to dance

She said that when we're 70 We'd be alone and still good friends Neither one forming our identity As someone's wife we'd rather be Telling stories, writing songs Couple gypsies we would be Gathering experiences on the road Ignoring what we've all been told I don't believe we're meant for one Look around at everyone To settle down is to succeed If that is true I'll never be A winner at this social game Pointing fingers, crying shame Was it what you thought it'd be Can you say that you're happy? Congratulations if you are Most of us don't get that far I don't believe we're meant for one Look around at everyone To settle down is to succeed If that is true I'll never be A winner at this social game Pointing fingers, crying shame

Goddess train is coming Goddess train is on the track Goddess age is coming Goddess age is coming back You look at the moon, you see one of her eyes Source of life in between your thighs Goddess love is rising Goddess love is rising up Goddess love is rising Goddess love is always enough With eggs and feathers and a big iron pot You better let go now of everything you got Goddess is arriving Goddess is arriving right now Goddess is among us Goddess is here with us right now All the songs you're singing will rise up in the air Everything you're doing will come around again Goddess train

You know I used to be sad when I thought about being alone Take the good with the bad Let what's done be done Every new day brings a surprise As long as I keep the hair out of my eyes Life is OK even if the paycheck is small I got it all It's all there for me I got it all Don't say a prayer for me I'll be standing after the fall I'm the lion and the lamb and I got it all I drive a beat up Pinto It's a wreck but it gets me around (sometimes) Solid transportation but it never leaves Puget Sound But with so many good folks here at my side I'm happy just being along for the ride Hangin around doesn't keep me from havin a ball I got it all It's all here for me I got it all Come buy a beer for me I'll be standing after the fall I'm the lion and the lamb and I got it all I had to be in the sun when the darkness came down on me I'm not the only one waiting to be set free I got it all So when the going gets tough I just keep on rolling along I take what I've learned and try to write another song You know, I may not make it to the promised land But I got me a job, and I got me a band When all's said and done I'll be standing proud and tall I got it all It's alright with me I got it all Come spend the night with me I'll be standing after the fall I'm the lion and the lamb I'm the man with the plan I am what I am And I got it all

Skip It 03:14
There I stood in the checkout line Reading the magazines I'd never buy Out of coincidence I did learn What to do when you get burned Skip the teary heartbreak scene Cool indifference, it's gotta be clean Give him a handshake and then walk away Got to move fast, don't give yourself away Tucked that magazine under my arm So many secrets I had to read on Put the phone right next to your bed and Dream all the things you should have said and Skip the teary heartbreak scene Cool indifference, it's gotta be clean Give him a handshake and then walk away Got to move fast, don't give yourself away Took their advice, I did what they said Ignored my heart, I went with my head The difference in feelings was easy to see I wanted to die and you look relieved Skip the teary heartbreak scene Cool indifference, it's gotta be clean Give him a handshake and then walk away Got to move fast, don't give yourself away The words I'd rehearsed had finally come true I'm better off not being with you Love had certainly altered my sight How does it feel under a different light I skipped the teary heartbreak scene Cool indifference, this time it's clean I gave you a handshake and then walked away Nothing this time can make me stay

Postcard 04:43
This is the last day of the fair And the grease in the hair of a speedway operator Is all the tremulous heart requires I was lying on the floor in the living room Looked up and saw a crescent moon Against the blue sky in the afternoon I thought of you Everything seems so far away Half awake in the middle of the day Full of dreams I can't explain I think of you This is the last day of the fair And the grease in the hair of a speedway operator Is all the tremulous heart requires It's evening now after a breezy day Getting dark, no clouds in the way Of the silver moon or the stars' play I wish you would stay I wonder back over what I've done You slide away like the setting sun You never felt like the only one I wish you could stay I wish you would stay This is the last day of the fair And the grease in the hair of a speedway operator Is all the tremulous heart requires

about

Quirky melodic pop. Eclectic acoustic/electric. Mixed gender folk/rock collective. With three primary songwriters, and four lead singers, the Seattle based band could take the listener in many different directions. The first ten songs on this collection comprised the group's 1995 release, Rain or Shine, initially available only on cassette. The 'bonus tracks' include a live track recorded at Seattle's legendary Crocodile Cafe, a selection from the original 'duet demo', and another duet recorded after the group disbanded.
